Meat CSA – Sign up for the next season

Meat CSA Shares

We offer monthly meat shares in the CSA format. This is a great option for folks who want healthy, local, chemical-free, and pastured raised meat, but don’t have the freezer space to buy large quantities of beef, pork, and chicken. It’s also an opportunity to ‘sample’ various meat cuts before committing to a larger purchase.

Each Meat CSA season runs for 4 months. The next season begins June 2025.

The seasons are:

• February – May
• June – September
• October -January

Standard Share

A standard whole share includes Mirror Image Farms grass-fed beef; pastured pork; and pastured poultry. (Our pastured pork and pastured poultry are fed non-GMO, chemical-free feed) Each share will have approximately 1/3 of each type of meat.

The 20lb whole share is geared towards families of more than 2 people and will have larger items, and multiples of the same item. A typical 20lb share includes:

• 2-3lb ground beef
• 1lb beef cubes, chip beef, or hamburger patties
• 2-3lb sausage or ground pork
• 1-2lb bacon
• 2-4lb ‘grilling meat’ such as porkchops, ribs, hamsteaks, or beef steaks
• 1 ham, porkroast, or beef roast
• 1-2 chickens, whole or parted

The 10lb half share is geared towards feeding 1-2 people, and will often only have one package of an item. A typical 10lb share includes:

• 1lb ground beef
• 1lb bacon
• 1lb sausage or ground pork
• 1-2lb ‘grilling meat’ such as porkchops, ribs, hamsteaks, or beef steaks
• 1 ham, porkroast, or beef roast
• 1 chicken, whole or parted

Cost for the Standard 3-meat Share: 

Annual subscriptions include a 5% discount

• Whole Share (20lb/month): $765
  • Annual Subscription = $2,180
• Half Share (10lb/month): $425
  • Annual Subscription = $1,210

Economy Share

The Economy Share is based on the Standard Share except, instead of including beef roasts and beef steaks, the beef portion of the Economy Share will consist of ground beef, beef cubes, chipsteak, hamburger patties, and beef franks. Like the Standard Share, every month the Economy Share will consist of approximately 1/3 grassfed beef, 1/3 pastured pork, and 1/3 pastured chicken. The chicken and pork portions of the share will remain the same; the beef portion of the Economy Share will consist of a combination of ground beef, beef cubes, chipsteak, hamburger patties, and beef franks.

Cost of the Economy Share:

Annual subscriptions include a 5% discount

• Whole Share (20lb/mo): $670
  • Annual subscription = $1,910
• Half Share (10lb/mo): $385
  • Annual subscription = $1,100

Chicken Share

The Chicken Share includes Mirror Image Farms pastured chicken, fed chemical-free, GMO-free grain. Each monthly share will have 3 chickens:

• 1 whole chicken,
• 2 packages of leg/thighs (2 to a pack)
• 2 packages of boneless skinless breast (2 to a pack)
• Twice a season the share will include a package of wings

The chicken share weighs approximately 10-12lbs/month.

• Chicken share (3 chickens/month): $355
  • Annual subscription = $1,015

Pick up locations and times

Pick up for the Meat CSA is the 3^rd week of the month.

3^rd Friday & Saturday: (11am-8pm)  Horn Farm Center, 4945 Horn Rd, York, PA 17406
3^rd  Friday & Saturday: (11am – 8pm) Millersville, 150 Letort Rd, Millersville, PA 17551.

All meat is vacuum-packed and frozen, and contained in a cardboard box.
