We’re MOVING! And taking Reservations for Grass-fed Beef

unnamed-1

Hello my friends and welcome to the land of our new farm location.  Pictured above are two of the fields we will be moving our farm to at the beginning of April.   This is the land of Fertrell, an organic fertilizer and mineral company, located in Bainbridge PA.   April 1st we move the farm….April 2nd there will be pigs running and skipping in this picture.  🙂

Beef – firstly and most importantly, we’re informing you that we are now taking reservations for beef!  Please take advantage of our 5% discount by sending us a deposit before the end of March.   This not only saves you $ but it really helps us plan as we enter the growing season. Here’s the link for pricing and details.

One of 10 poultry shelters to be used for chickens or turkeys. This has been one of Tyler's late winter projects as we anticipate spring and the makings of tasty chicken.

Chicken –   Secondly, we’re EXPANDING, and will be raising pastured chicken and turkeys this summer! We would like to hear from those of you who have interest in purchasing.  We will be raising several different breeds and will keep you informed on our breed selections as our plans develop. But in the meantime, check out our Broilers and Turkeys page for pricing and ordering details, and information on how our poultry will be raised. Orders for the first available chickens are due April 15.

Pork –  Thirdly, we’re bringing our pigs with us, and will still be raising pork. However, our pork is currently sold out. Now is the time to let us know if you would like a whole or half pig late summer or fall, and we’ll be glad to raise one for you. Consider ordering beef and poultry in conjunction with your pig to save on delivery.

This is our transport cooler used for delivering meat directly to you. Our friend Audrey Kanagy wood burned our name and logo (which she designed) on the door. As we expand and look for people to help us out, this is a perfect example of matching a task to the right person. If you have a skill that you think we might be able to use, let us know.

We’re on the brink of a busy season, and we might not be updating the blog as frequently. I encourage you to sign up for our newsletter, so that you’ll be the first to know! We also recently started an Instagram account. Follow mirrorimagefarms for frequent pictures as we move to a new place and establish our farm at Fertrell. And of course if you don’t already, you can ‘like’ us on Facebook, if that’s your preferred social media.

Stay tuned for information concerning an open house later this summer, when you can visit us in Bainbridge!
